Building an Intentional Relationship

Heather Ellis, our Resource Coordinator, with our friend September of Joni & Friends.

In September we had the privilege of hosting our first annual disability awareness and training seminar in partnership with Joni & Friends. One of the key highlights was building an intentional relationship.

What does building an intentional relationship look like?

1. A vibrant relationship with Christ
How is your walk with Christ? We cannot love others if we do not understand the love of Christ.

2. A willingness to learn
A willingness to learn about the individual is more important than any field of specialty.

3. A desire to serve
You can become a dbKids Buddy if you have a heart to help others grow in Christ and a willingness to learn.

4. Support
We want to offer people with disabilities the opportunity to do the same thing as everyone else does in the same space everyone else does it.
