dbKidsOnline is a weekly online lesson for those dbKids families who miss weekend services but are still desiring to have a kids lesson at home.

The ultimate example of God's love is Jesus, who said "Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another" (John 13:34). God is love, and God is loving. As we grow, may we remember this more often in our lives. Lord willing, others will see Him through our reflections of His love.

Jesus met a Samaritan woman at a well and told her that whoever drinks from the water He gives will never be thirsty again. This led to the woman realizing that Jesus offers something better than physical water; He gives us Himself. Jesus gives the Holy Spirit to everyone who comes to Him by faith. We can worship Him as Lord and Savior wherever we are because He loves us so much.

Nicodemus was a Pharisee who studied the scriptures in the time of Jesus and wanted to know more about Him. While meeting, Jesus said some confusing things that Nicodemus didn't understand yet - because he knew God, but not yet that Jesus was fulfilling His plan. Jesus hinted that He would be saving us all from our sins on the cross and giving us new life - and told Nicodemus that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son for us!

When Jesus first began calling disciples, He used two words: "Follow Me." He didn't say "clean yourself up" or "work harder." The call to follow Jesus is a call to our souls to find rest. He invites us to be with Him and enjoy Him. Let's look at the story of Jesus calling the disciples.

Our VBS theme this year is Breaker Rock Beach. The theme reminds us that amidst the shifting sand of our world, God is rock solid. That is why our main focus is "God's Truth Never Changes." The verse is Romans 12:2 which says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
June 24-25, 2023
As we finish up this series, we are reminded that God takes sin seriously. People deserve to die for their sins, but God loves us and sent His son, Jesus, to defeat death by dying on the cross for us and rising from the dead.
June 17-18, 2023
In this lesson, we see Eli’s sons disobey God, and bring the Ark of the Covenant into a battle. When they lost the battle, the Ark was captured and the Israelites were sad and scared. Though at the time the Ark was important to God’s people as a reminder that God was with them, we can be thankful that God sent Jesus - God in the flesh - to die & rise again, so that we would no longer have to be separated from God.
June 10-11, 2023
In this lesson, we see how Hannah trusted God with her son by sending him away to serve God for his whole life. Samuel ended up being an important messenger for God’s people! God sent His own Son Jesus, The Word of God, to serve with his life, too. Just as Hannah thanked God for her son, we can thank God for sending Jesus to die for us.
June 3-4, 2023
In this lesson, we learn through the story of Ruth about family, faithfulness, and redemption. Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi, didn’t have any family and needed a redeemer. Sort of like how you and I need a redeemer, whom we have, in Jesus Christ!
May 27-28, 2023
In this lesson, we learn how the fair payment for sin is death through the story of Samson. God had given Samson incredible strength, but when Samson disobeyed God, God took his strength away. Still, God was able to use Samson’s death to save the Israelites from their enemy.
May 20-21, 2023
In our latest series, we begin in Judges 2 and learn how God’s people did not teach their children about God. The judges saved the people from the consequences of their sin, but not the cause of it. Welcome to dbKidsOnline! Our video will go live Saturday at 6pm.
